As another school year comes to a close, we would like to remind our parents/guardians that good attendance and punctuality is essential for the last remaining school days. Our students need to complete all coursework and assignments in order to earn their credits for the spring term.
Passing New York State Regents is crucial to our students’ success and possible graduation. Our dedicated staff will be forgoing their lunch break over the next several weeks to provide Regents prep classes. In most cases, students will be required to attend between 7-10 sessions. Please impress upon your son/daughter the importance of attending these classes.
We are looking forward to another inspired graduation ceremony on June 27th at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Each year over 100 students graduate from the Academy. It is a special day and we are happy to let our graduates invite as many guests as they want. Some of the colleges this year’s graduates will be attending include: Baruch, Lehman, Brooklyn, CCNY, Hunter and several SUNY schools.
We are sure they will be as successful as so many of their predecessors, who have become lawyers, teachers, social workers, nurses, counselors, police officers and career military personnel. One may even follow in the footsteps of Stephanie D’Amore who is a doctor of veterinary medicine.
The Wildcat Academy conducts year round school. Students must either attend school or an internship site or may participate in the summer youth program. No one is exempt from our summer schedule.
Looking ahead, students will attend school from July 10th to August 18th. The August Regents exams take place on August 16th and 17th. Students on internship sites will work from July 5th through August 14th. The 2017-18 school year begins on September 7th for all students.
Please have a safe and enjoyable summer!
